November winds gushed into my life with the enthusiasm and energy of vacations. And Vacation meant a lot of free time on my hand. After days of eating and sleeping without a routine or a limit, I made some time for making some art! And what an experience it has been
It’s very difficult to pick up a pencil after months and even more difficult to draw. I have a friend on Instagram, Kris, and she is an amazing artist. I have seen her grow, post after another, one painting after another, she beats her best each passing day. And what baffles me is her consistency with her art in spite being a working woman. She has inspired me a lot to pick up my pencil again. You would not want to miss her work, especially her florals @argaile.arts on Instagram.
So, I decided to take a leaf out of her book and started making art this November the experience has reignited my soul for the love of drawing and I find myself glued to procreate more than often. Here is what I worked on this holiday season and the experience has been delightful. Scroll below to take a peek at my artwork and watch out for the procreate tips at the end!

Also here are some Procreate tricks and tips for you that I learned along the way. 1) You can activate the alpha lock just by swiping the layer with two fingers. 2)You can merge your layers just by selecting them and pinching them together. 3)Make use of the symmetry tool to draw whenever applicable, it makes so many things easier.

How often have you given up the idea of drawing due to indecisiveness? I am guilty of doing that for a hundred times at least . I open my iPad and I scribble for minute or two but I rarely finish something. I take up my phone to find inspiration and lol, within seconds my time for drawing has passed. So I always look for the easy and fun things that I can create. Ideas which are easy to implement, and can be finished within a short period of time.
Some things are too hard to even attempt, some are just to ambitious to think of, and some are just not so fun.So after I won my long battle with procrastination and detangled the web of what to draw, I have come up with this 5 fun and easy ideas that caught my interest. I have attached an example or two for each. Scroll up to see all of them.
1.Mandalas Mandalas are the easiest thing to create with the help of the symmetry tool. I love the patterns and how there is room to do more in each mandala. Each time I draw a mandala I feel rewarded and accomplished to be able to create something so magnificent with little patterns. Here are two which I created recently!
2.Sunflower Sunflowers are the easiest to draw. They are synonymous to happy flowers for me. They always bring me joy. Here also I used the symmetry tool to help me get it done faster. Use the symmetry tool to make this sunflower even more easier.
3. Mystical Forest I love drawing mystical forests. And they are the easiest to draw. Tip:Make use of layers and the opacity option.
Tell me which one do you like better?
4. Wreath. Ever since I began drawing wreaths have been my absolute favourite and guess what you are gonna see a lot of them now that festive season is round the corner. Easy to draw and fun to complete and adorable to look at. The symmetry tool will come in very handy here. And you can use the add text option to add your words and quotes!
5. Draw something random. My something random today is pillows and a rainbow and some florals. It could be anything though. Draw the first thing that comes to your mind when you say random.
So this is it my friends. I hope I have sparked a idea in your idea. I hope your idea make it to your IPad gallery. Comment below and tell me some of your easy and fun ideas that I should try. Do tell me if this was helpful. Share your thoughts below! Until the next post,Adios!
Recently I started drawing on procreate and my love for both the IPad and the app procreate is increasing day by day.
It’s a journey of learning new things everyday. All I had to do was open the app and get started. So here I am with everything I enjoyed making the procreate app.
1. First of all a boatload of thanks to Francis Gradient for all the effort to get the website up and working again. (Until I learn how to draw a boat, please make do with the bag of thanks hehe). It was like seeing my favourite place again and I am immensely grateful.
2. So after my first post in a long long time, I decided to go on Skillshare and learn about SEO and I tell you it has been a huge task for me. All I could accomplish learning was about the keyword research and everything just really feels like a big question mark.
3)Making good use of magical beginning I took up some projects which require me to study a lot. This makes me feel like a old woman trying to find her way through the hurdles of life.
4)In the end when I could not take so much information all at once I returned to my comfort zone and drew a mandala. It’s fun and its easy and relaxing. It works like therapy for me.
So that is all for today.
Happy Sunday to everybody and I wish you so much joy until the next post.
